Australian-born, London-based artist Belinda Syme uses landscape and memory to create her evocative paintings. Dream like visions of the Australian Outback, forests of eucalyptus, the American Wilderness and Yosemite’s giant redwoods are among the themes she has explored to create these unique compositions. Whilst her work draws primarily on Australian landscape tradition, her subject matter also relates to concerns of destruction, order and symmetry, both natural and man made.
